About the Event

Get ready for a spread like none other. We are offering you a HUGE 20 item spread featuring some local vendors. Seated outdoors in our beautiful mild So-Cal climate surrounded by plants, birds and a setting sun this is an event to bring that special someone for a date night that is fun and unique. Please note that all adults must be fully vaccinated and we are now encouraging a booster as well. (If you have a teen who is vaccinated that you would like to bring, please contact me first).

Growing up in Sri Lanka tea is part of our daily lives. Often it is just a hot cup of black tea with milk and sugar with a Marie busicuit or tea bun. Around 3 pm most neighborhoods would have a mobile bakery (guy on a bike with a glass or metal box on the back) who would bring hot baked goods from nearby bakeries.  The idea of High Tea is not something most households have daily, but some of the assortments offered are part of our "party foods" which tend to also be finger foods.  All households will always offer you a cup of tea when you visit. With this, there's always something to nibble on.

Sri Lanka has been one of the world's largest tea producers often labeled "Ceylon Tea". We are known for our black tea grown in the central high country where climates are milder and cooler. Depending on the elevation the tea has a different flavor. Tea was introduced by the British who wanted to make sure there was a steady supply. Prior to this, coffee was actaully a bigger crop than tea.

The tea service that we are offering you at our March event is a mix of many cultures as the concept of "Tea" has spread far and wide. I have raised my kids with this tea culture from birthday parties to just friends coming over.  I have hosted tea events for our friends and at least once a year in my classroom for the kids and for Mother's Day.  We are very excited to offer this to you and hope you find it as enjoyable as we do.
