Edible Botany- Kids Cooking
Small group outdoor cooking class for children. Students will learn about a vegetable plant, how it grows, where it originated, the worldwide uses and dishes, and more. We will cook a dish that introduces a new way to eat this plant expanding their knowledge and culinary experience.

About the Event
In this class will focus on teaching kids about the importance of plants, knowing more about where their foods comes from, and expanding their pallets to try new foods!
We will mix some creativity into our study with paint, sewing, applique and may other creative mediums. The Montessori methodology to education is always my way to get students engaged.Â
This is an in-person class held outdoors. Â Students wil be required to wear masks until we eat.Â
This class is limited to 8 students ages 8-12.Â
January- The Potato
Students will learn the basic anatomy of the  plant, it's origins and how it made its way around the world.  We will make a ffew dishes together that highlight the potato that is different to how it's commonly eaten. Â

4. Print and sign the waiver and send it with your student the day of class.
Note: We have a cat. Â If your child is severly allergic, please be advised.Â
