Want to know more foods to incorporate into your family's diet?
Want to build lasting changes and habits in your family's meals? There is a lot of information out there and a lot of it is confusing and geared towards adults. From meal preps, to diets, to food restrictions, a lot of it is aimed at lifestyle changes for adults. So, how do we navigate through all this and make healthy changes to our family meals where we honor our cultural food traditions and heritage while still maintaining optimal health and sustainability? Yeah, that was exhausting to write, so it's overwhelming to think about. The short answer, is we start small. We take 1 step and do it well. We then master it, and take on another step. After a while, we have built lasting changes and new neural pathways that it is part of who we are. This is harder as adults, because we have to rewire some of our neural network, but if we implement these habits from a young age, we create sustainable and intuitive habits from the time we are young. As a working mother with two young kids, and an auto-immune disease that impacted my mood and outlook, I made a conscious decision to do it the hard way for the long haul. But that's me. I have been "food is health" obsessed since my early 20's. From leaning to organic and sustainable foods and farming, to growing our own, to making our own, I have been at this for quite some time now. Working with parents and children in my class over the years, and now as a small business, I am now in a place where I can confidently reach out and support you. So, if you want to learn more, incorporate your cultural foods into your child's diet, and increase the nutritional density of your meals at home - contact me. I'm here for a free consultation before we launch our first workshop staring Jan25. Check out the online Family Meals Workshops. I'm so excited to share with you and help your family get more homemade meals on your plates!
