About the Event
We will explore historic African civilizations such as the Kush, Mali and Ashanti as well as the tribes that are part of the African nations that exist today. We will examine historic architecture, clothing, tradition, food, and other aspects of these nations based on their geographical location.
This class will be online and approximately 2.5 hours with 1-2 short breaks. There are days we may end later or earlier. We will learn together as a group and some additional reading maybe assigned if we are not able to cover it during out session.
We will use Zoom to meet, Google Classroom for links, and printout information, and use various maps and links to navigate our learning. Further information on materials and printouts will be sent once registered.
